Cultural education
Working on the mission to promote our cultural values and traditions, we conduct story telling sessions for kids in the libraries, organize informational workshops and social and cultural events.
Inclusion & Compassion
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where individuals of all abilities, including those with special needs, feel valued, supported, and empowered. For many of our volunteers, especially youth, this experience becomes more than just community service. It becomes a powerful lesson in compassion, gratitude, and global responsibility.
volunteering services
One of the main purposes of IACA’s foundation is to give back to our community. We're working alongside our partner organizations for volunteering on monthly basis for children and seniors with special needs or abilities.
Conducting workshops
We organize informational workshops for our cultural promotions, invite speakers from specialized fields, conduct free events for public helping families of special needs children.
IACA Building Community Connections
Indian and American Independence Day Celebrations
IACA proudly celebrates Indian and American Independence Day every year with the Indian American communities, honoring the spirit of freedom, unity, and cultural heritage. This special event brings families, youth, and community members together to commemorate India’s journey to independence while celebrating the rich traditions that connect Indian Americans to their roots.
IACA’s Independence Day celebration is also a vibrant cultural event featuring traditional dance performances, music, and cultural presentations by talented youth and community members.
Christmas Toy Drives helping specially gifted children
Every year, our dedicated volunteers come together to collect and distribute toys to children who may otherwise miss out on the excitement of the holiday season. With the support of our generous community members, families, and youth volunteers, the toy drive becomes a celebration of sharing and caring.
Food Packing Events To Engage Youth In The Community
During food packing sessions, IACA youth volunteers come together to assemble nutritious meal kits that are distributed to families and children in need. Working in teams, students help measure ingredients, seal food packages, and prepare boxes for distribution. Each small effort contributes to providing meals for communities facing food insecurity.
The Indian American Cultural Association (IACA) is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich heritage and cultural diversity of Indian and American traditions. Our goal is to build meaningful connections within the community while celebrating the values of unity, compassion, and service.
Founded with the vision of bringing people together, IACA serves as a platform for individuals from diverse regional and cultural backgrounds across India who now call the Chicagoland area home. Through cultural events, community programs, and collaborative initiatives, we foster understanding, respect, and appreciation for the vibrant traditions that shape our community.
The organization has been founded to promote and preserve the rich Indian and American Cultural diversity and strengthen the relationships with a broad range of cultures and ethnicities.
Through cultural celebration, community service, and inclusive programs, the Indian American Cultural Association continues to work toward building a stronger, more compassionate, and connected community for all.
